The use and maintenance methods of the fuel transfer pump for
diesel generator set mainly include the following aspects:
1. Pre installation inspection: Before installing the fuel pump, it is necessary to check whether the model and specifications are correct, remove the rust proof oil, select the appropriate gasket thickness, and avoid the piston being stuck or not running properly due to being too thin or too thick. When tightening the bolts, the force should be even to prevent damage to the oil pump.
2. Regularly clean the filter screen: The coarse filter core in the oil pump joint is prone to clogging due to dirt such as cotton wool, and needs to be checked and cleaned regularly. When the filter is damaged, it must be repaired or replaced in a timely manner.
3. Protect the rubber sealing device: There is a rubber sealing device between the hand oil pump piston and the hand oil pump body on the fuel pump. Do not disassemble it at will, and replace the rubber ring in a timely manner when it is damaged. The manual oil pump must be pressed back and the button tightened after use to prevent air intake or oil leakage.
4. Maintain spring elasticity: Ensure that the "four springs" (piston spring, plunger spring, inlet valve spring, outlet valve spring) of the plunger type fuel pump have normal elasticity. If the elasticity weakens or breaks, it should be replaced or adjusted with padding in a timely manner.
5. Replace the sealing gasket: Ensure that each sealing gasket is intact and undamaged, and the plastic gasket should not be disassembled too many times, and should be replaced regularly.
6. Preventing diesel leakage: There is a drain hole on the pump body of the fuel transfer pump. Do not block the drain hole to prevent diesel from entering the oil pan of the fuel injection pump and diluting the lubricating oil. When excessive diesel fuel is found in the fuel injection pump oil pan, it is necessary to promptly check whether the clearance between the fuel pump piston and pump body, as well as between the plunger and plunger sleeve, is too large. If it is too large, it should be dealt with in a timely manner.
7. Preventing rusting: When the diesel generator is shut down for a long time, it is necessary to prevent rusting of the mating surfaces of the fuel pump components. Rust prevention measures must be taken, and lubricating oil with moisture, diesel, and other impurities in the fuel injection pump oil pan must be replaced in a timely manner.
8. Ensure diesel cleanliness: The added diesel should be filtered through sedimentation to ensure cleanliness and prevent excessive impurities from exacerbating wear on the inlet valve, outlet valve, and valve seat of the fuel pump.
By using the above maintenance methods, the service life of the diesel generator set fuel transfer pump can be effectively extended and its normal operation can be ensured.
